Description: NAPOLEONIC MEDAL BY BERTRAND ANDRIEU (FRENCH, 1761-1822). Cast and bronzed lead, signed on the shoulder. Single-sided depiction, a bust-length Napoleon I wearing a laurel wreath, encircled by "Napoleon Empereur" in reverse. 2 7/8"d. Andrieu designed a number of Napoleonic medals, often made in lead, bronze, gilt bronze, and sometimes in sulphide.

Condition Report: Minor roughness on the edge, small hole on the top edge, probably from a hanging ring.
