Condition Report: Visual: Generally good condition. Small pinhole-sized puncture along the top center edge. Minor stable craquelure throughout. Oxidized paint, would benefit from cleaning and new varnish. Blacklight: A 2.5'' horizontal spot of touch-up above the right shirt collar. Two small dots of touch-up, one along the lower left edge and the other on the upper left edge. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL.

In Stuckrahmen mit Lorbeereinfassung und sehr schöner Vergoldung. Rs. Inventaretikett "H.V.v.W. - G.v.R. Privat-Eigentum 2974" der Herzogin Vera von Württemberg, Großfürstin von Russland, darunter weiteres Inventaretikett "ON" der Großfürstin Olga Nikolaevna. Kl. Beschädigungen und Restaurierungen. Maße 104,5 x 91,5 cm. Alexandre Antigna, französischer Historienmaler, der ab Mitte des 19. Jhdts. Genrebilder humoristischen und sentimentalen Inhalts ebenso wie Bilder aus dem Leben der Unterschicht malt. Vermutlich ein Portrait der jungen Vera Konstantinowna, die ab 1863 im Alter von neun Jahren bei ihrer Tante Olga Nikolaevna in Stuttgart lebte. Ihre Eltern, Großfürst Konstantin Nikolaevitch und Alexandra von Sachsen-Altenburg, waren mit der Erziehung der aggressiven Vera überfordert. Provenienz: Großfürstin Olga Nikolaevna Romanova (1822 - 1892).
