Frank Myers Boggs Biography
(b Springfield, OH, 1855; d Meudon, France, 1926) American Painter. Frank Myers Boggs was an American painter who moved to Paris and became a naturalized French citizen. In 1877 he enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts where he studied under Jean-Léon Gérôme and from 1880 onwards he exhibited regularly at the Salon.* The artist showed his love for the city by depicting its monuments, the Seine river and the scenes of Paris in an Impressionist manner.
