In their works they deal with socio-critical issues that are usually presented with theatrical irony and a great passion for provocation. Their lifelike, anatomically altered plastic figures of children are probably some of their most popular works, since the faces of the figures have been replaced by genitals. Besides, the brothers also often refer to works by former artists, including Goya, Bosch or Auguste Rodin. Their controversial works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, including the Tate Britain, the Museum Kunst Palast Düsseldorf and the PS1 Contemporary Art Center in New York. Jake and Dinos Chapman live and work in London. (cbo) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
