Biography
(b Figueras, Spain, May 11, 1904; d Figueras, Spain, January 23, 1989) Spanish surrealist painter. Salvador Dali studied art in Madrid at the Real Academia de Bellas Arte de San Fernando. In 1929 Dali produced his first Surrealist film, Un Chien Andalou, and was asked by Andre Breton to join his Surrealist group.
