Sale Notes:
We are very excited about our Fall 2009 Lamp and Glass Auction. Victorian glass will be highlighted by a magnificent Royal Flemish covered ewer, a wonderful Mount Washington lava glass vase and a large Stevens and Williams silveria vase in exceptionally good condition. We are also offering a nice collection of paperweights by famous makers such as Charles Kaziun, Paul Ysart, Baccarat, Sandwich and more. We are offering two pieces of Spanish treasure recovered by treasure hunter Mel Fisher. The majority of the English cameo glass offered comes from the private collection of Jim and Laurie Wroda. As usual we have several outstanding pieces of Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre including patterns such as Imps on a Bridge, Pillar, Jewel Tree, Moorish, Butterfly Lady, and more. Also included in the sale is a great collection of KPM plaques highlighted by a large plaque depicting a group of sheep on a rocky mountain ledge. Quezal is well represented in the sale with many finely decorated pieces including Jack in the Pulpits, fishnet decoration, heart and vine, and much more. Once again we will be offering some of the finest pieces of rare Steuben to come to market in recent years including a rare Fredrick Carder Cire Perdue figure of a polar bear, several pieces of fine acid cut back, some rare moss agate as well as a collection from the Rockwell family. The sale will include a number of very fine Tiffany Studios art glass pieces including a rare decorated red cabinet vase, a 13" tall flower form with pulled feather decoration, a beautiful decorated onion vase as well as a reactive glass vase. Tiffany Studios lamps will be highlighted by two exceptional 16" dragonfly table lamps, an outstanding daffodil table lamp and a beautiful arrowroot. The French cameo glass portion of the sale will include two of the finest E. Michel cameo vases we have ever offered. Galle will be highlighted with a wonderful Marquetry vase with fine wheel carving and foil inclusions. Daum will include a terrific black bird vase, an outstanding presentation pitcher, and a magnificent swan bowl just to mention a few. As always our selection of fine lighting will include rare examples of Handel, Pairpoint, Duffner and Kimberly, Wilkinson, John Morgan and Sons and many more. This sale will have something for every glass and lighting collector's taste.
