Lot 332: Rare hollow greenwing teal drake, in a sleeping pose, Charles "Shang" Wheeler, Stratford, Connecticut, early 2nd quarter 20th century.
This exceptional bird has a very colorful provenance. Wonderfully comb painted with exceptionally painted and delineated wing detail. Exhibits a slightly raised crest on the back of the head.
Lot 333: Hollow carved black duck from Connecticut, last quarter 19th century.
Shoe button eyes and square nail construction.
Lot 334: Hollow carved black duck, Ben Holmes, Stratford, Connecticut, last quarter 19th century.
Decoy is branded "B HOLMES" which is very rare, it is possibly from his personal hunting rig. Retains the teardrop style Holmes weight.
Lot 335: Pair of old squaw, Roswell Bliss, Stratford, Connecticut, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Stamped "R E BLISS" on the underside.
