The June 6th auction features the second half of the Carleton Cotting miniature lamp collection and the collection of the late Joan Bone, a founding member of the Historical Lighting Society of Canada, to be sold in more than 450 cataloged lots.

More than 400 miniatures will be sold in 245 cataloged lots, including Victorian art and opalescent examples, a wide variety of colored patterned stand and finger examples, junior banquet and parlor examples, student and other metal examples, peg lamps, etc.

Also offered for auction are nearly 200 early to late period kerosene lamps that include triple dolphin, swan, and other figural bases, many good Victorian opalescent stand and finger lamps, a colorless Marriage lamp with rare original match cover, several cut overlays, early colored base and font stand lamps, several banquet and parlor lamps, etc.

Among the more than 40 whale oil/fluid period stand and finger lamps up for sale are blown and pressed, and flint EAPG examples.

The catalog also contains a good selection of kerosene parts as well as related material including "Baby" and red globe skater's lanterns, match holders and more.

Plans are to hold this sale in our new auction gallery in Mount Crawford, VA, which is currently under construction and due for completion in May 2009. Although we are currently on schedule, we have reserved the RAMADA HARRISONBURG (exit 243 off I-81) as an alternate venue in the event that construction is not completed in time for this auction.
