  • PFK is a Cumbrian-based company established in 1876. From beginnings as a livestock mart the firm now has various divisions based at separate locations, briefly comprising; the Antiques Saleroom, Estate Agency (4 branches), Land Agency, Planning, etc. The saleroom has occupied its current purpose-built site, just a couple of hundred yards from junction 40 of the M6 where it crosses the A66, for the last five years. Regular fortnightly sales of Victoriana/Household goods are interspersed with four quarterly catalogue antique sales.

From an initial catalogue sale totalling £94,000 five years ago, the sales are now regularly topping £200,000 from around 600-700 lots sold, with many four-figure prices. We recently sold a 19th-century continental oil painting for £11,500 after it had been valued at just £800-1200 by a major auction house, and following that success were offered another similar painting which we sold for £26,000.

We have a database of over 1,000 active clients who receive our colour catalogues, plus many new customers every sale who discover us via the internet. We are always pleased to provide free valuations for sale, as well as offering valuations for Insurance, Probate, Family Division, etc.
