  R. O. Schmitt Fine Arts has been holding clock auctions twice a year since 1979, when Bob Schmitt left Ford Motor Company to deal in clocks full time. Specializing in a single commodity has allowed the firm to develop an extensive list of clock collectors worldwide.
  
  Based in southern New Hampshire, a purposeful move since they have no sales tax, Schmitt’s has grown from a small collectors auction to a prominent force in the clock field. Bob is a life member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors nawcc.org, and writes his catalog to the expectations of the collector. He has been a contributor to clock sections of Millers Antique Price Guide, the Antique Trader Price Guide, and provides many detail photographs for the extensive American Clock books published by Tran Duy Ly at Arlington Book Co. Bob's assistants include horologist Tom Manning and Editor, Chris Bailey, who work tirelessly to keep the descriptions of the clocks as complete as possible in a small space.
  
  Auctions are held at the Radisson, 700 Elm St, Manchester, NH, a convenient location for most New Englanders and a short distance from the Manchester Airport, served by taxis as well as Radisson Shuttle.
