  • Rachel Davis Fine Arts

    Qualifications

    Rachel Davis holds a B.A. in Art History and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware, along with an M.B.A. from Indiana University. She worked as a Painting Conservation Assistant at Winterthur Museum from 1980-1982, and was Director of Fine Arts at a Cleveland area Fine Art and Antique auction house from 1983-1991, while there Rachel managed sales of $4 million per year, and she was responsible for the authentication and documentation of fine arts and antiques.

    Megumi Yamazoe was born in Tokyo and came to the United States to attend high school. She holds a B.A. of Art History from Baldwin Wallace College. From 1997-2001, Megumi worked at Cleveland auction house as a consigner account representative. She joined our staff in 2001.
    Gallery History

    Rachel Davis Fine Arts opened in May 1992. We began auctions of works on paper in October of that year, and added auctions of paintings in March 1996. Later in 1996, we began auctioning rare and out-of-print books.
