  • History & Activity

Located on the beautiful Emerald Island, Whyte's is Ireland's premier auction house for specialist art and collectables. Because many of the items are procured through private collectors and local estate sales, they may not have been seen in public before. The exclusive nature of the auction lots and the charm of Irish influence gives a unique impression in the auction world. 200 years of family business combined with a forward-thinking approach to modern technology has spread the reputation of Whyte's far beyond the island.

Since 1995, Whyte's has offered more than 143 auctions on location and has recently expanded their bidding options by partnering with Invaluable.com. Online bidders can participate in live auctions and find an exclusive selection of largely Irish influence antiques and collectables.

    Services & Staff

Auction types vary greatly based on the findings of the auctioneers and appraisers. Past lots included Christmas art and collectables, important Irish art, pop and rock memorabilia, movie posters, British art, and more. Nearing the end of 2014, Whyte's sold a collection of letters of particular historical importance for more than 2,000 Euros.

The staff at Whyte's bring decades of experience and talent to the business. Nearly a dozen well-educated experts are employed to ensure the highest standards of business practice are maintained at the auction house. Their backgrounds include extensive education, prior auction experience, business knowledge, and more.
