Description: 14KT White Gold 11.35ct GIA Cert Tanzanite and Diamond Ring A6413. Great Condition! EB6007YM. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within a stylized floral diamond bezel supported by tapering shoulders, completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: One prong set cushion modified brilliant cut natural tanzanite, measuring 16.25 x 11.87 x 7.38mm, exact weight 11.35ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 7/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. GIA Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report #6157735381. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Thirty-six prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.30 - 2.20 x 1.35mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 36 Stones = 1.59ct. Faint brown secondary color throughout. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1. Color H - J. Total Weight of Colored Stones 11.35ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 1.59ct. Total Weight of Ring 9.91gm. AIG Appraised at $34,705.00.
