Description: 1845 Pattern Officers Sword of the 39th Worcestershire Rifle Volunteers Belonging to the Earl of Shrewsbury, slightly curved single edge blade etched with crowned strung bugle, foliage, WRV, laurel, owners crest [lion standing on a cap of maintenance above motto PREST DACCOMPLIR] , Reeves Maker Toledo Works Birmingham, Patent surrounding proof plug; thickly silver plated regulation hilt incorporating crowned 39 within strung bugle above union flowers, folding side-guard, patent tang, wire bound chequered grips, in its iron scabbard with twin hanging rings. Blade 83cms. Good un-touched condition.
