Other Notes: Brian P. Mulvany was born in Dublin and studied Fine Art at the National College of Art, Kildare Street. He later studied Commercial Art and Illustration for five years under renowned graphic artist, Karl Uhlemann. He formed his own graphic design company in 1970.
After a long career in graphic art, creating many iconic logos for national brands, Brian Mulvany returned to his roots in Fine Art and focused on abstract painting, the master art of Stained Glass designing and restoring many pieces both classical and modern.
He is presently working on a series of 122cm x 244cm charcoal illustrations titled An Turas Fada, depicting the major events in Irish history and at present has produced 2438cm. His drawings of the 1916 Rising are on exhibition in Dublin at The Ambassador Theatre, Parnell Square.
