This Emerson model #Q236 is the smaller of the two Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs AM radio designs the company produced. Both incorporated molded repwood facings mounted to a solid wood cabinet. But the smaller unit was done in a lighter base color and its figural images of Snow White, all of the Dwarfs (and a friendly squirrel) are all painted in full color (as opposed to the varying earth tones found on the larger model). This smaller unit's rear cabinet section shows some small scuffs, minor chips in the finish, and an uneven coloring that is most pronounced on the top panel. The front is phenomenal in its level of preservation, demonstrating only some minor paint loss on Happy and Sleepy, the two Dwarfs most closely positioned to the acorn volume and frequency selection knobs (which also show some paint loss). The all-original radio's internal chassis has been completely refurbished and is now fully working, including the power indicator lamp whose yellow bezel appears in the lower area of Snow White's dress. Measuring 7-1/4"-wide by 7-1/2"-tall by 6-1/2"-deep, this handsome example presents at the EX condition level.
