Description: Frame Number: 17/40900/76 Engine Number: 32637 New Imperial managed to offer an extensive range of machines throughout the 1930s, with their models for 1937 running from a 148cc example to the 496cc model featured here, at a time when many of their competitors were busy reducing their ranges. This machine, dating from 1937, features a twin-port head and a unit construction 496cc overhead-valve engine. A variety of ignition systems were offered and the machine was available in either standard form, with a hand operated geabox, or as a de-luxe model with a foot-operated gearchange. It has been completely rebuilt to an exceptionally high standard and is offered with a Swansea V5, buff log book and an MoT certificate valid to the 2nd May, 1996.
