Lot 112: 1956 VELOCETTE VIPER 350cc SCRAMBLER MOTORCYCLE Frame Number: RS 6745
Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data
Description: Engine Number: VR 1333 S Built as a scrambler and sent to the USA for evaluation in enduro events, this rare Velocette Viper is believed to have been one of only twenty five built. A true scrambler, it is fitted with trials tyres and speedo (so it can be used on the road) but is otherwise original. Paintwork in black with gold lettering is all good, and the machine was totally rebuilt by R F Seymour of Thame, Oxon, the Velocette specialists, in 1981. Work included the engine, gearbox, magneto and all cycle parts. The engine is run-in and we are told that the machine rides as well as it looks. Details from Seymours are available. An unusual off-road machine in excellent restored order, ready for competition.
