Description: 1959 AJS 35Occ Model 16 The heavyweight 35Occ single was a mainstay product for AMC and their Matchless gala were famously used in great numbers by the military. As a result, the 35Occ single remained in production selling vast numbers to the civilian market into the 1960s Extremely robustly manufactured, they needed virtually no maintenance and were extremely economical, which endeared them to many during times of fuel crisis. The Model 16 AJS is an identical machine from the same factory and is a badge engineered example represented under the Matchless name as the G3L. This Model 16 is reported by the vendor to have been fully restored in 1993 and has seen little use since that time and therefore safety and mechanical checks are recommended before it is commissioned.
