Mexico, Oaxaca, ca. 1960. Carved wooden festival / dance mask in the form of a beast - possibly a representation of Frankenstein's monster. Very angular face, headband across top of head, high cheek bones and wide nose. A nice example! Size: 7.5" L x 5" W x 11" H (19 cm x 12.7 cm x 27.9 cm)
