Lot 111: 1965 Green Gables Bookshop Account Statement for Elvis Presley

This invoice/statement is dated September 15, 1965, and lists "Books and material" as well as "Research service" for a total of $110 due. Green Gables Bookshop was on Marathon Street in Hollywood and they invoice Elvis at Paramount Pictures (also in Hollywood). Elvis returned to Los Angeles from on-location filming for Paradise, Hawaiian Style to meet The Beatles in person at Elvis' Perugia Way house on August 27. Elvis returned to Memphis in October after dubbing for the movie was complete. It was during this period in California that Elvis acquired the books and services at Green Gables Bookshop, where he conceivably purchased some of his many books on spirituality and numerology. The invoice measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches (27.94 x 21.59 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
Condition Report: The invoice exhibits discoloration from age with the concentration in the upper quadrant, two horizontal fold lines, one small hole in the upper center quadrant with three tiny paper loss holes and minor paper loss to lower left edge, ink mark and dirt scuff on upper quadrant of reverse; otherwise in good condition overall.
