More About this Item

Description: 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce

- Fantastic condition
- Tasteful colour combination
- Rare 1st series car
- One of Carrozzeria Bertone´s finest designs

In 1962, young designer Giorgetti Giugiaro was given the design brief of the successor of the Giulietta Sprint. He developed 2600 Sprint lines, which had also been produced by Carrozzeria Bertone, into something much younger looking, with a more agile design. The Giulia Sprint GT was introduced in 1963 and became a great success developed in many versions until 1975.
The car on offer is a 1st series 1750 GT Veloce version from 1969. Its design was basically the same but with a different front. It was fitted with some improvements such as a 1750 engine, dual circuit brakes, more rear passenger space, new bumpers, and a new steering wheel. Being a late 1st series car still retains the pedals on the floor, the bumpers without rubber and seats without headrest which would only appear on the second series cars. This car was taken out of circulation in 1999, when it undergone through a restoration before returning on the roads in 2005. Today it still appears as it just been out of restoration. The paintwork is still smashing and its faux leather interior in a very unusual Tobacco tint with matching brown carpets is outstanding. In the engine compartment all the electrics and cables are original. This very usable classic Alfa Romeo is one of the nicest 1750 GT Veloce that we have seen.
