Description: 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina
Carte grise française
Châssis n° 20687

- Historique limpide

- Known history
- Recent full restoration
- The most sought-after 308 !

The Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina is today the most highly sought-after 308 production model: just 712 examples were built with a fibreglass body that gave them a considerable weight advantage. They were fitted with a 3-litre, four overhead cam engine and dry sump, derived directly from racing. The example on offer was sold in 1977 by the Garage Francorchamps, the official agent in Belgium, where the car remained until 1986. It was then registered in South of France. In 2000, Michel Prudhomme, in Cassis, overhauled the carburettors, and replaced the distributor cap, spark plugs and silentblocs. Since then, for the next 13 years, the car has hardly moved. The current owner bought the car in 2013 and commissioned the Old Racing Garage (Apt) to carry out a full restoration (mechanical, bodywork and running gear). This was completed in May 2016 and photos in the file document this work. A few finishing touches, such as adjustment to the carburettors, have just been carried out in Paris.
The car, with optional air conditioning, has known history documenting the mileage from new.
