CHAMPLEVE GILT BRONZE FRAMED ENAMELED CHARGER - 19th c. French densely decorated Gilt Bronze Charger Frame with Cloisonne Cartouches, possibly by J. E. Caldwell reticulated shell form handles, housing a fine gilt decorated charger with enameled portrait of two cupids cavorting with a dove, flowers and musical instruments. Unmarked. 15 1/4" x 11 1/4" x 1 7/8" deep frame, 7 1/4" diam plate, rim chips to lower left outside rim of plate concealed by frame.
