Indonesia, Bali, 19th century CE. This is an ornately carved wooden mask, stained a deep blacky-brown, showing the head of a fierce animal with large teeth, horns, big ears, and bulging eyes. Bali is known for its mask tradition. Size: 5.7" W x 5.9" H (14.5 cm x 15 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Private New Jersey collection acquired before 1990
