Description: Antique Japanese Meiji period Wakizashi (shorter of the two Samurai swords, Katana being the long sword and together word for battle) sword, having a bone saya and tsuka covered in carved relief scenes. These were traditionally used for stabbing or seppuku their form of ritual suicide. L 19", blade L 10.5". Overall fair condition.
