Description: 2 Framed Needlework Scenes. 1) 19th Century. Silk wrought on silk with painted highlights memorial scene of a man walking away from a woman and 2 children by their home, the woman is seated under a tree where a tablet reads cher ami pense que sans toi je ne peux pas vivre ne tarde pa parcourir (Dear friend, think that without you I cannot live). Artist name is worn, has a few minor tears but overall very nice. 21.5 in. high x 18 in. wide Frame: 30.25 in. high x 26.25 in. wide. 2) English wool yarn needlework scenic picture depicting the Ye Barley Mow Inn, which was in Clifton Hampden, England on the Thames River. Late 19th century depiction of the inn surrounded by farm fencing with figures a horse. 14 in. high x 18 in. wide Frame: 18.5 in. high x 22.25 in. wide. Weight: 21 lbs.
