Condition / Notes: This full-leather folio set has partially separated boards as well as raised bands and stamped gilt tooling on the spines. There is light external rubbing and chipping, concentrated at the extremities. The text block is solid. The pages show mild age toning and occasional light marginal spotting/foxing. The set contains two engraved frontispieces (one folding), engraved title pages, 6 plates of engraved arms of subscribers, an engraved portrait of Richard III after a painting, 121 engraved plates of monuments and memorials, and 3 folding views and plans. There are also 12 engraved head- and tail-pieces and 8 engraved initials.

These volumes have been collated, and appear to be complete, with the following notations:
This volume contains a 47 page (numbered) poem, followed by 196 pages of text and plates intermixed, where the plates have been assigned page numbers.
There is a frontispiece, 3 fold out plates, and an additional 67 plates in this volume.
Page “156” has been used twice, for 2 different plates.
This volume contains 5 different sections, with a fold out frontispiece, and 63 additional plates.
The first section consists of 24 numbered pages.
The second section consists of 44 numbered pages.
The third section consists of 201 pages, again of text and plates intermixed, where the plates have been assigned page numbers. The last numbered page is “195”. Pages 18 and 22 have been mislabeled (switched). Text appears continuous. “23” has been used for a page of text, and a plate. “24" has been used for a page of text, and a plate. “38” has been used for two plates. “61” has been used for two different plates, and two different pages of text. “92” has been used for 2 plates. There is a gap in pagination from 95 (text page) to 97 (plate), with no apparent loss of text.
The fourth section consists of four unnumbered pages.
The fifth section is a 16 page appendix, numbered.
