Tree calf with gilt crest at center of front cover. Front cover separated, rear cover insecure, old tape strips across spine ends. Interior very good. ++ C. Bruce. Bayspoole in 1889. The binding is by Rolfe Brothers (blue-green leather, marbled eps and edges). Surface chipping to leather, very good. Ads are either not issued with the 3rd edition or lacking.
