Details: This lot consists of the vintage plaques shown in the corresponding images.
These metal plaques, designed by Maurice Ascalon for Pal-Bell, are stamped "Pal Bell" and "Made in Israel" on the back. The two designs represented in this lot are a sword surrounded by wheat and two fish. Each central emblem is surrounded by writing in Hebrew. These pieces come with a card that offers a brief explanation of the product line.
Maurice Ascalon (1913Ð2003) was an Israeli designer and sculptor. He was, by some accounts, considered the father of the modern Israeli decorative arts movement. (Information courtesy of Wikipedia)
