Details: This lot comprises five (5) reels of vintage 16mm safety black and white and color film in period B&H and Kodak canisters. Handwritten labels on the canisters read: Vanderbilt Av. #1; Prospect Pk. LB; Day on Staten Isl; Utica; and Vermont Trip.
A preliminary examination of frames from these vernacular homemade movies shot in New York City, New York State, and Vermont showed such scenes as a young girl in a park, a funicular railroad, vintage (circa 1930s) automobiles, a family on a lawn, a barn, a St. Bernard dog, and a garden. A title reading "Father's Birthplace - Wesermunde Germany - 1858" is also visible.
