Description: Eugene Hawkins (American, 1933-), alias Legend 412. Five prints, one drawing, and one painting. Lithograph prints: 1) Signed/numbered lithographic print is marked “nun shoveling snow, January 1963, litho #11/50 Eugene Hawkins, legend # 412” Print measures 6.5 by 10.5 inches (11.25 by 15.25 framed) in very good condition. 2) “from john to john January 1964, litho #11/50 Eugene Hawkins, legend # 412”. Print measures 7 by 12.5 inches (11.25 by 17.25 framed). Slight yellowing of the print, print and frame are in very good condition. 3) Untitled portrait of a man, unsigned with no markings measures 5 by 10 inches (12.25 by 16.25 framed). Slight yellowing of the print, print and frame are in very good condition. 4) Signed lithographic print of The Queen of Gospel Mahalia Jackson (1911-1972). Print is marked in pencil by the artist “Mahalia Jackson September 1962, litho #8 Eugene Hawkins, legend # 412”. Print measures 7 by 13.5 inches (13.75 by 19.25 framed). Both print and frame are in very good to excellent condition. 5) “Gerry Mulligan, musician litho#18 September 1962, Eugene Hawkins, Legend 412”. Print measures 13 by 17.5 inches (16.25 by 20.25 framed). Both print and frame are in very good to excellent condition. 6) Original ink on paper drawing of Polish pianist and prime minister Ignacy Jan Paderewski (1860-1941). Drawing is singed, matte is marked in pencil by the artist “Igancio J. Paderewski, pianist August 1962, Original Drawing for Welte Legacy Recording, Eugene Hawkins, Legend 412”. Drawing measures 15 by 18 inches (18.25 by 21.25 framed). Both print and frame are in very good to excellent condition. 7) Signed oil painting on canvas board singed in the lower left. Canvas measures 12 by 16 inches. Some dark spots, overall in very good condition.
