Christ leaning forward from the cross supported to the left hand side by Joseph of Arimathaea clad in a long robe, the Virgin behind clasping Christ's right hand, a female companion behind her, a figure at the top of a ladder on the right hand side holding Christ's left arm, possibly St John, Nicodemus at the base of the ladder removing the nails from Christ's feet, a pair of pincers at the foot of the cross, traces of original polychrome colour, small fragments missing to top left and top right of panel, 43cm x 28cm.
