Description: Heavy helmet bowl formed of 38 flat iron suji plates with russet iron surface. All plates studded with sturdy, blunt hoshi (rivets). The rivets with kikku-like washers and decreasing in size toward the tehen. Four-stage iron tehen kanamono, agemaki-no-kan missing. The interior inscribed "Owari Kyotsune Ju, Myochi Yukinaga, Kanei" (1624). Iron shinodare at the forehead. The mabezashi with uchidashi eyebrows. Koshimaki modified several times during the time of use and repaired on the right. Height 18 cm, width 24 cm.
