Description: the ivory body of nautilus shell form, in sections, intricately carved throughout with a foliate design divided by lac borders, the underside with an oval medallion containing devanagari inscriptions, top of curved end with a carved sun motif, the top with a central turned ivory stopper, attached by string to one of the two metal loops to the side
In good overall condition, the inside of curvature with some wear and dirt encrustation, string probably later replacement, as viewed.
