Description: Gold ring with broad hoop crafted in two overlapping parts. On the shoulder two elephants' heads in half relief, the rectangular bezel with lettering for "Luck" and "Longevity". On the inside of the hoop Chinese mark of fineness for fine gold and further, uninterpreted mark. Inner diameter approx. 15.5 mm, weight 13.5 g. This ring was allegedly presented to Emperor William II by Zaifeng, also called Prince Chun II, on the occasion of his diplomatic visit to Berlin in September 1901. Of German noble provenance.
