Description: A Chinese porcelain bulbous miniature two-handled vase painted in the "Famille Verte" palette with four clawed dragons and cloud motifs on a pale yellow ground, the handles moulded with the heads of mythical beasts, 6.75ins (172mm) high (apocryphal Chenghua six character mark in underglazed blue to base - 19th Century - neck ground and chipped and flaking to interior of footrim and some discolouration to body), complete with ivory stand, pierced and carved with dragons Provenance: From the Collection of Willem Frederik van Heukelom (1858-1937) who lived at Museumplein 19, Amsterdam and thence by Family descent Note: Exhibited at The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam 19th March 1948 to 15th October 1954 - Recorded and Illustrated in Catalogus Van Heukelom No. 176 (ms.nr. 175)
