Description: A Chinese summer gauze formal court robe , jifu, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, worked in couched gold threads and counted stitch with nine five-clawed dragons on the front and back with one on the underlap, the dragons chasing flaming pearls amidst a ground of multi-coloured clouds interspersed with bats and the Eight Buddhist Emblems, above a hem of cresting waves tossed with auspicious objects upon a lishui water and waves pattern, original dragon facings and cuffs adorn this robe edged with a fine brocade and high quality gold buttons, approximately 136cm high x 200cm wide cuff to cuff Provenance: From an Italian family whose grandfather was stationed in China during the early 1900 s. -1?? ???????????? ????:???????,????????
