N.B.:
The Catharina Collection was the largest private collection of Japanese and Chinese cloisonné enamel collected in the Netherlands. The collection was exhibited for the first time in 1992 in Museum het Princessehof in Leeuwarden, and afterwards from late 1992 to 1993 in the Koninklijke Museum van Kunst en Geschiedenis in Brussels after which the collection was put up for auction at Sotheby’s and was subsequently dispersed.
