Description: A Continental ebonised wood and 'nickel silver' mounted casket, last quarter 19th century, of rectangular form with canted corners, the hinged cover surmounted with a metal group of two horses, above foliate and cabochon cast mounts, the back and front applied with metal friezes of centaurs and horsemen in the manner of the Elgin Marbles, raised on four scrolled supports cast with horse's heads and toupie feet, 25cm high, 29cm wide overall
