Description: A decorative Cypriot bichrome canteen, Cypro-Archaic, c. 750 - 600 BC, the short cylindrical body decorated with concentric bands and geometric devices in a dark brown slip, the spout with narrow neck and widely flared mouth. H: 8 1/4 in (20.8 cm). Light deposits. Ex Tachner collection with receipts from the Ariadne gallery (1980).
