Description: Cal. 18 mm percussion, no. 8531, matching numbers. Side-by-side, blued Damascus twist barrels with ten-groove rifled bore, length 140 mm, total length 285 mm. Bead front sight. Double trigger. The barrel rib signed "JOSEPH MANTON, HANOVER SQUARE, LONDON". Back action percussion locks with finely engraved tendrils. Engraved tang and patent breechblock. Lockplates engraved with a line around the edge and intricate foliate design, signed "JOSEPH MANTON, PATENT". Walnut full stock with finely chequered pattern, the back of the grip with silver monogram plate, hinged ramrod of iron, finely engraved iron trigger guard and pommel. The underside of the stock with slight signs of use, the mounts partially stained. Very good overall condition. Erlaubnispflichtig
