Description: Octagonal, after chiselled baluster round and smooth barrel in 15.5 mm calibre with silver front sight. Ornamental gold inlays at the breech, chiselled ancient female warrior and gold inlaid signature "G. Mutti in Brescia". Part-gilt flintlock with rain-proof pan, chiselled with figures and an intricate floral design. The lower edge of the lock signed "FILIPPO MORETTI". Florally carved root wood stock, finely chiselled iron furniture with gilt base, on the pommel cap, side plate and trigger guard putti and trophy bundles, the trigger plate with gold inlaid signature "F. BIGONI INVT. SCULPT." Original wooden ramrod with chiselled iron tip. The cock cracked, the jaw screw bent, the fore-end with cracks and losses, shrinkage crack under the lock. Length 49 cm. Filippo Moretti, Brescia + Gardone Val Trompia, 1670 - 1730. Francesco Bigoni, Brescia, ca. 1680 - 1700.
