A FINE CLAIR DE LUNE ''DRAGON'' VASE WITH YONGZHENG SIX CHARACTER MARK.
China, early to mid 18th century. A molded chilong drapes over the shoulder, its tail curls gracefully around the neck of the bottle-form vase. Glazed in the powder blue characteristic of Jingdezhen kiln, mark in underglaze blue, seal script. 9.5"h. 3.25"dia. Mouth 1.5"dia.
Very good condition. Minor chip to glaze near the dragon's curled tail. Two stickers to base leaving aged adhesive to base. Waxy substance accumulated around foot.
