A FINE GANDHARAN SCHIST SCULPTURE OF BUDDHA,c.3rd Century AD, of museum significance, standing above a rectangular pedestal with a pair of floral motifs in relief, wearing flowing robes draped across both shoulders and holding the tip of the hem in his left hand, his visage with serene expression and downcast eyes, his forehead with central urna in relief below his hair parting in the centre in wavy stands and gathered in a topknot at apex, fragmented nimbus to rear, superb detail, consistent weathering, 101x31cm
