Description: A fine Pre-Columbian bridge vessel, ca. AD 700 - 1300. This choice Lambayeque blackware example is 7-1/4 in high and has two spouts connected with the typical bridge handle. A large hand-modeled crustacean is draped over the top of the chamber. It is surrounded by a pair of fish to the front and a pair of crabs to the rear, with stylized serpent heads projecting from the base of the spouts. The flared base is incised with traditional geometric designs. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits. Ex Espinoza estate.

Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid.
