Description: Round barrels with smooth bore in 15 mm calibre with the midrib and silver front sight. The top of the barrel with chiselled raised mascaron, remnants of engraved tendril decoration over the breech. Smooth flintlock signed on the lockplate "A. NIQUET LE JEUNE" and "A LIEGE". Walnut full stock with chequered grip. Beautiful furniture bearing trophies of war and flowery vines in relief. Wooden ramrod with horn tip and iron thread socket. Liège circa 1800. Older, reused barrel, lock and furniture from circa 1700. Length 41 cms. Arnold Niquet (junior), is known in Liège circa 1680 - 1750, condition 2
