A flintlock pocket pistol, dating: early 19th Century
Smooth, round, turn-off, 11 mm cal. barrel with moulded muzzle, remains of blueing; box-lock type, steel frame, along the sides the writing "Dufia. s / a Macon", with gold-inlaid recessed bands and frames of foliage, at the back of the batterie an eagle on gilt ground, small gold inlays at the hammer too; drop-shaped wooden grip, at the back an oval with silver monogram "BL" and frame of inlaid branches; silver butt-plate decorated with bas-relieved turban on a trophy of drums and flags; foldaway trigger, external safety lock at the back.
