Description: A fragmentary Lobi bateba, holding a stylized flute in it's hands; legs and feet are extremly eroded.Until now I have no sure, crossresearched explanation, why the Lobi-sculptures of this type are holding stylized flutes at the chin and not at the mouth. Meyer puzzeled, which instrument the figures on page 158/158 could holding in their hands. No doubt, these are stylized flutes, the atribute of a "colon-figure". For sure (llike Meyer is speculating) not an identified person, because in contrary of Binate Kambou (the leading informant of Meyer) the Lobi don't make "portraits".Height: 24 cmWeight: 190 g
