Description: 1910, University City, MO, incised mark: "UC / AWL (for American Women's League) / FHR (Frederick Hurten Rhead 1880 - 1942) / AR (Agnes Rhead b. 1877) / 1910", and with further illegible incised marks, the high-shouldered tapering body incised and polychrome enameled with a peacock and stylized tree branches, with a narrow geometric border to foot, the green-painted interior with a conforming border beneath rim, 17.625'' H x 5'' Dia., est: $70,000/90,000.

Condition Report: Overall good condition. Scattered marks and scratches. A .625'' x .1875'' shallow chip to rim. Nine shallow chips along outer edge of foot, the smallest .0625'' Dia., the largest .625'' long. Scattered inherent glazing imperfections, including a .0625'' Dia. shallow loss to glaze on body. Localized glaze crazing to upper rim.

Provenance: The Meyers Family Collection, Iowa City, IA, a wedding anniversary gift from friends residing in St Louis, MO, Summer, 1910; by descent in the family to the present owner, Private Collection, San Gabriel Valley, CA
